We install accessible bathroom and toilet fittings
Creek to Coast Plumbing installs accessible bathroom and toilet fittings in homes across Caboolture, Morayfield and the Moreton Bay region.
We fit grab rails, comfort height toilets and bidet seats, including the Caroma Livewell electronic bidet seat. Occupational therapists send clients to us for this work, so we work from the OT’s recommendations and specifications.
We can supply and install the products, or install a product that you or your OT have already chosen.
Accessible Bathroom Plumbing for Occupational Therapist Referrals
If an occupational therapist has assessed your bathroom, their report usually sets out what needs to change. It might say where each grab rail should go, how high the toilet should be, or whether a bidet seat would help. Send us a copy of the recommendations when you book, or read the details out to us over the phone. We install the rails, toilets and seats to what the report says.
If you are an OT with a client in the Moreton Bay area, you can pass on our number, 1300 793 962, and we will work from your recommendations.
We can supply everything on the report, or install products the client already has.
Either way, we look at the bathroom first and give you an upfront, fixed-price quote before any work begins.
Grab Rail Installation for Safer Bathrooms and Toilets
Grab rails give you something solid to hold when you sit down on the toilet, stand up again, or step in and out of the shower or bath. We install them beside toilets, in showers and next to baths, at the positions your OT has recommended.
A grab rail is only as good as what it is fixed to. The rail has to take a person’s weight when they pull on it or lean on it, so the fixing points behind the wall matter as much as the rail itself.
Our grab rail installation page explains how we fit them and what to send us from your OT’s report.
Comfort Height Toilets for Easier Sitting and Standing
A comfort height toilet has a taller pan than a standard toilet, so the seat sits higher. There is less distance to lower yourself down and push yourself back up. For someone who finds a standard toilet too low, that extra height can make it easier to use the toilet without help.
We supply and install comfort height toilets and connect them to your existing plumbing.
Your OT will usually recommend the height that suits the person using it.
See our comfort height toilets page for what to check before you choose one.
Bidet Seats and the Caroma Livewell Bidet Seat
A bidet seat washes with water and dries with warm air. For someone with limited reach, mobility or grip, it means they can stay clean on their own after using the toilet, and that independence is a big part of why OTs recommend them.
One of the bidet seats we supply and install is the Caroma Livewell Electronic Bidet Seat, which Caroma lists as independent living compliant on its Livewell product page. It has a remote control, front and rear wash and a warm air dryer. Our Caroma Livewell bidet seat page covers what it does and whether it will fit your toilet.
We install other bidet seats too, including a bidet seat with a side control panel, a bidet seat with a remote control and a handheld bidet sprayer.
Our bidet seats page lists the options.
The Australian Building Codes Board says that in Australia most plumbing and drainage products must be WaterMark certified before they are installed, and that a licensed plumber is not permitted to install a product that should be certified and is not (ABCB: Always look for the WaterMark). If you have bought a bidet seat yourself, we check it carries WaterMark before we quote.

Licensed Plumbers and Bathroom Builders for Accessible Bathrooms
Most plumbing work in Queensland is regulated and must be done by a QBCC licensed plumber or drainer (QBCC: regulated plumbing work requirements). Our QBCC licence number is 1199436. On the QBCC licensee register, that licence covers plumbing and drainage, and it also covers the builder class restricted to kitchen, bathroom and laundry installation. We are members of the Master Plumbers Association of Queensland.
That combination is useful in an accessible bathroom. Grab rails and other fittings have to be fixed into the wall properly and to code, and connecting a toilet or bidet seat to the water supply is plumbing work. We are licensed for both kinds of work.
Accessible Bathroom Renovations When the Existing Bathroom Will Not Work
Sometimes rails and new fittings are not enough. A shower with a step into it, a bathroom too tight to move around in, or a toilet in an awkward spot can mean the existing bathroom cannot be made safe by adding to it.
When that is the case, we can renovate the bathroom. As licensed bathroom builders, we can legally carry out the renovation ourselves and work to your OT’s recommendations. Our bathroom renovations page has more on the renovation work we do. If you are not sure whether your bathroom needs fittings or a renovation, ask your OT and give us a call to talk it through.
